Almost Fall...but not yet!!

Our ambitious two year old has been refusing naps at the normal hour
and waits until nearly dinner time to crash after some heavy reading. Sweet boy!

Princess Leila and cousin Princess Olivet on their way to a costume party
heading to a special JDRF event with food, a guest speaker, and a Timber Rattler Game!

Sweet Olivet whispered shyly with her hand covering half of her mouth,
" I didn't know the queen was going to be here!"
as she admired Miss Green Bay (back left corner).

Carb-loading at Noodles the night before our first half marathon...

and here are Stephanie and me, giddy with excitement, running faces on :)

This is before the race- wish we had taken an after too! We finished it!
What an amazing experience all around :) Praising God for our run in Chippewa.

Our friends from Israel were home visiting, and we realized
our kids represented each number from 2 to 9 exactly! So great to spend time together at a park and later a hotel eating pizza, chicken and POPCORN!

Here are Auggie Doggie and Theo Bear testing out the dip to see if it is any good.

Olivet and Leila celebrated a special birthday together.
Since Olivet turned 5 in July and Leila will be 5 in September, why not celebrate in August?!

One of two pictures from the Brown County Fair. This must be our 8th or 9th consecutive year going, and the kids love the library tent, the pigs and cows, and riding the tractors.

Half of our crew with half of our friends- so close to lunch time, and so ready to go!
We love these girls!!

This was the view from camping site 14 on the Michigame Resivoir- where we spent 3 nights (more or less) swimming, fishing, eating, and telling stories around the fire with two other sweet families.

After getting chased from the infamous rope swing back to our boats to seek land and ultimately shelter from the coming storm, we made it to the Infield Bar and Grill in Crystal Falls, MI. There, they patiently served 6 adults and 11 hungry kids while we waited out this one!

Leila fishing before the storm!

Here are my kids on a Monday, drawing cyclops faces on their white boards. Ha!

And the next day, these two are working out some energy before our parent-child orientation with Classical Conversations.

We've had lots of projects going on around here, from fence-fixing to caulking seems, but this is one of my favorites- going from beige walls to gray ("greige" by some design experts!) and I couldn't be happier with the color! Thanks to my dear talented Dad who has painted his whole life, and comes over one night (this would have taken Tim and I days!).

Until next month...
