March's Memmories

Two instead of one- why not! Theo is so goofy.

Guess who came early?? Introducing our newest cousin....Pierce Jacob Oren!
We are thrilled! Here he is, only a day old!

Silas wasn't feeling well enough to join us on our trip to Appleton, but here is proud cousin Sam...

And Gretta with Pierce. Edward is more interested in the squirrels outside, of course. :)

Gretta, Sam and Sy have been working really hard at Tai Kwon Do, and were so excited to receive their red sheets to allow them to test to the next level.

Testing day began with prayer.

This is where the kids practice usually Monday and Thursday evenings.
They passed from white to yellow belts!

One day we're splashing in puddles...

and the next....

Building snow forts! Not even a week later, the snow has all melted, and everything appears even wetter than the top two pictures.

My sister and her family generously invited us to join them at Chuck.E.Cheese for an afternoon of games and pizza, and boy did we have fun!

This guy LOVES throwing footballs (and baseballs and basketballs etc).

Sam's view...

"wow, he's good!"

Auggie trying things out.

Leila is curious too.

Cades ride.

We played games and then the kids had pizza and we had sandwiches (and even shared a cup of wine! at Chuck E. Cheese? Who knew!).

Taking our own selfies in the photo booth...nothing like saving a token :)

Now- unto the YMCA for some tumble time!

Here we are celebrating Auggie's (2) and Sam's (8) birthdays. With so many cousins, we have been celebrating them by the month, and what fun it has been!

"Pider Man!"

Double the birthday, double the cake!

If you look really close, you can see a man climbing our tree in the back. It was too muddy for the crew to drive their lift in, so they sent a man up to trim branches.

I had to leave to teach at the Y, but would have loved to stay for the whole thing!

Grandma Lo and Grandpa Jer went to Arizona and came back with a t-shirt for everyone- so sweet! Despite their faces, they really do love their new shirts, they just don't particularly like being this close to each other :)

Here is Theo painting (nuk in mouth so paint stays out!). He has been a challenge to keep busy, but loves playing nu-no (Uno), taking baths, hitting the ball of the tee, & coloring anything within reach.

This is my energetic Classical Conversations class sporting parts of the history sentence on their foreheads & faces. They are a talented, funny, & creative group. Im so thankful for the opportunity to have them all in class!!

Leila loves playing independently upstairs with dolls or the doll house, and on this particular occasion I found her in the bathroom playing "dolls" with the nail polish!! I could not resist snapping this shot (trying to not let her see me). I just listened as she brought these lacquers to life!

Ballet at the Kroc has proved to be a new and fun experience for Leila, but at times, difficult in keeping her attention. She loves to be silly, and when we practice at home, she mostly jumps around acting goofy :) You're only four once!

We had friends over for St. Patricks day & made a leprechaun craft
and ate strawberry shortcake- just because.

Our friend Brooklyn invited the kids to her bday party at the bounce house- such a big girl!

Here are our colored eggs in preparation for our favorite day of the year- Easter! We had an amazing Good Friday service at church where much scripture was read, and then a beautiful celebratory Sunday morning service, reflecting the joy we have that Christ has risen from the grave!

We first celebrated with Granny and family in Two Rivers, and then came back to Tim's Aunt Jane's house for an egg hunt and more family and food.

Speaking of food- I love this new artisan bread recipe- very easy and so tasty.

"Moondough" for the kids (8 cups of flour to 1 cup baby oil) to use for a rainy day like today.
I added some essential oils for a fragrant experience :)

And finally- Sammy turned 8 yesterday! He got a new bike, and loves riding around the block with Gretta. He also doesn't use a booster seat in the car anymore (MOM- that's embarrassing!) and can play independently at the Y with Gretta. Sam loves to help out, especially if babies are involved, and will never pass on a game of baseball outside. He has grown leaps and bounds this year!
